the fighter craft is optimized for carrier use (either naval or aerial) with it's folding wings that let it take up less space in storage. the switchblade configuration increases manuverabilty of the craft which is crucial for the dogfights it's intended to get into.

It's biggest drawback is it's low autonomy.
